Biography

A melodic Death Metal crew previously operating in their hometown of Jyväskylä as CAPTIVITY. The band created in 1995 a series of demos were issued before bassist Ville Lapio made his exit in 1998, necessitating guitarist Arto Huttunen switching instruments to plug the gap. As 1998 drew to a close the band adopted a new title of ENTER MY SILENCE issuing the four track EP 'Sophia's Eye'.

Lapio made his return as ENTER MY SILENCE signed up to the Danish Mighty Music concern for a 2001 debut album 'Remote Controlled Scythe'. The album saw US release through Mercenary Musik. Lead vocals on this release were laid down by a guesting Mikko Kotamäki of FUNERIS NOCTURNUM (as 'Torment'), TROLLHEIM's GROTT, EMPYREAN BANE and SWALLOW THE SUN. In November 2004 the band entered Studio Watercastle in Jyväskylä to cut their second album. However, later that same month ENTER MY SILENCE parted ways with singer Mikko Kotamäki, replacing him swiftly with Mika Lisitzin.

The band signed to the newly established JMT Music label in October 2005 for a second album entitled 'Coordinate: D1SA5T3R' set for February 2006 release. Unfortunately for the band, JMT Music closed down just weeks later.
