Biography

Helsinki Death Metal formation created during 1999 by SUBURBAN TRIBE drummer Alec Hirst-Gee, acting as frontman, HYBRID CHILDREN guitarist Paul, AM I BLOOD bass player Toni Grönros and H.I.M. credited drummer Pätkä (a.k.a. Juhana Rantala). The group debuted with the 1999 'Batcave Sessions' demo, leading up to the Spring 2001 album 'Songs Of The Damned', released by French extreme Metal label Osmose Productions. DIVINE DECAY augmented their sound in 2002 with the incorporation of second guitarist Stig Evil (a.k.a. Timo Nyberg) of GANDALF repute. Janne Joutsenniemi of STONE and SUBURBAN TRIBE repute acted as producer for the 2002 DIVINE:DECAY album 'Songs Of The Damned'. During 2003 the band pulled in a third guitar player, Timo "Stig666Evil" Nyberg previously with GANDALF, for live work. The September 'Maximise The Misery' album found Joutsenniemi resuming his role in the production chair.
