Biography

Helsinki Thrashcore outfit FORÇA MACABRA comprises vocalist Oswaldo "Taurus" Extermínio, guitarist Pedro "Porco" Anthares, bassist Abutre E. Hate with Oscar "Deadbrain" Antítese on drums. The group was initiated as a tribute to Brazilian underground Metal, initially going under the title CRUCIFADOS in mid 1991. Later that same year an opening eight track demo provided the track 'Destruicao Morte E Dor' for inclusion on a four-way split EP 'Headquarters'. After these sessions original bassist Roberto Necrofago was ousted. Andreas Vodu of RYTMIHÄIRIÖ filled the bass position for live work until the group stabilised in early 1992 with Taurus on vocals, Antitese on drums, Jaba MX Chakal on bass and Pedro Anthares of JUMALATION on guitars.

A second demo, 'Para Agonia E Morte', gave four tracks for use on a German compilation album 'I Kill What I Eat'. The following year saw a third demo, from which songs would be used on a variety of split 7" releases including alliances with CORPUS CHRIST in 1993, HOMOMILITIA in 1994 and CROCODILESKINK in 1997. January of 2004 witnessed the first bout of European touring, sharing a billing with UUTUUS. A debut album, entitled 'Nos Tumulos Abertos', was recorded for Genet Records in July. Included would be a cover version of ARMAGEDOM's 'Asilo Na Existencia'.

FORÇA MACABRE toured Europe once again in 1996, allied with SELFISH. First pressings of the 2002 Mind Control album 'Caveira Da Força' included a free, four track 7" single including a rendition of 'Periferia' originally by RATOS DE PORÃO.
