Biography
Danish Teen Pop Metal band now fairly infamous for being the launching pad for MIKE TRAMP, a man who was to later find stardom in the United States fronting platinum act WHITE LION. Subsequently, Tramp formed FREAK OF NATURE before commencing a solo career in 1997.
Apart from Denmark and Sweden, MABEL's biggest market was Spain, where the band lived for a period. MABEL provided the single track 'Boom Boom' as Denmark's Eurovision Song Contest entry in Paris during April 1978. The song came in at no. 16. As a member of MABEL Tramp was once described in the very first issue of the Metal magazine 'Kerrang!' as being 'The Most Beautiful Man In The World', a claim few of Michael's many female fans would dispute.
Whilst residing in Spain the group evolved into the Harder Rock act STUDS. Under this handle the Danes released a self-titled album in 1982 through Spanish imprint Hispavox before relocating to New York. Tramp then hooked up with DREAMER guitarist Vito Bratta to forge WHITE LION.
