KOBEAST, a 2003 brutal Death Metal formation mentored by guitarist/bassist Michael Kopietz of FROZEN SUN, PANZERCHRIST and 12 GAUGE repute would debut the following year with the album 'Arise From Ashes'. The band also incorporated lead vocalist Søren 'Azazel' Jensen of Black Metal act GRANHAMMER, Death Metal combo CORPUS MORTALE, Industrialists HUMAN MACHINE and Power Metal band IRON FIRE along with drummer Reno Kiilerich, a veteran of FROZEN SUN, PANZERCHRIST, 12 GAUGE, VILE and EXMORTEM.

In late 2003 Reno Kiilerich joined fabled North American Death Metal band VILE. The drummer stepped up a further league in March of the following year when he was recruited as session man for DIMMU BORGIR's European, South American and US 'Ozzfest' festival dates and in early 2005 would be laying down studio drums for OLD MAN'S CHILD. Following work with STRANGLER, in January 2006 Kiilerich joined Anglo-Danish collaboration DOWNLORD.
