Esbjerg Metal band SUBMISSION recorded the demo EP 'Pain Or Pleasure' in early 2004, scoring the band an award of "Best Self-Financed Release" prize at the Danish Metal Awards. A previous self-titled demo was produced by Sebastian Wolff at Konfus Studios in Esbjerg. The band comprised vocalist Steven Qvist, from DECADES OF SORROW, guitarists Christoffer Petersen of X-CEED and BEYOND THE EDGE and Kasper Kirkegaard of ENCRYPTION, DELIQUESCENCE and DECADES OF SORROW, bassist Bjarne and drummer Morten Gade Sørensen, the latter boasting a wealth of credits on the Danish Metal scene including ENDEMECY, ENCRYPTION, DELIQUESCENCE, INTO DEMENTIA, NEPENTHE, SCORNFUL, AURORA, WUTHERING HEIGHTS, PYRAMAZE, SCAVENGER and STRANGLER. Bjarne would be superseded by Boris Tandrup, a scene veteran of AUTUMN LEAVES, SCAVENGER and SLUGS.

In September 2005 the group entered Hansen studios in Ribe with producer Jacob Hansen to cut an album, entitled 'Failure To Perfection', for French label Listenable Records. Japanese versions added an extra track in 'Purifyed'.

Kasper Kirkegaard joined THE ARCANE ORDER as session guitarist in September 2006. SUBMISSION was set to support MASTER and TEMPLE OF BRUTALITY on their October European tour. However, this tour was cancelled shortly before kick off. At the Danish Metal Awards 2006, held on November 18th at the Amager Bio venue in Copenhagen, the band landed the honours for both 'Debut album of the Year' with 'Failure To Perfection' and 'Track of the Year' with 'Deathride To Escape'.

SUBMISSION parted ways with Listenable Records in January 2007. In April guitarist Kasper Kirkegaard joined THE ARCANE ORDER on a full time basis.

'Code Of Conspiracy' arrived through Blistering Records in 2009.
