Copenhagen's Symphonic Metal band WUTHERING HEIGHTS is rooted in the early 90s act MINAS TIRITH, a unit comprising of vocalist / guitarist Erik Ravn, guitarist Martin Røpcke, bass player Morten Birch and drummer Kenneth Saandvig. This band issued an eponymous 1992 demo cassette, titled 'Tales From The Woods', after which Ravn and Saandvig founded VERGELMIR. Under this guise the band, rounded out by lead vocalist Troels Liebgott, guitarist Jannik B. Larsen, bass guitarist Tim Mogensen and keyboard player Tim Christensen, issued a 1995 promotion tape. Ravn and Saandvig would then found WUTHERING HEIGHTS, re-working many of the VERGELMIR songs for the 1997 album 'Within'.
