Biography

A Copenhagen based Thrash-Death Metal band formed during the late eighties with first product being the 1988 demo 'Tempora Mutantur' (notably dedicated to Cliff Burton). FURIOUS TRAUMA's line-up at this juncture comprised singer Klaus Hansen, guitarists Lars Schmidt and Morten Gilsted, bassist W. and drummer Henrik Quaade. This was followed by the 'Profit Counts' session by which stage the band had shifted shape to see Schmidt joined by an all new cast of guitarist Samir Belmaati, bassist Kaare Strøm Hansen and Brian Andersen on the drums.

After the release of their debut album, 'Primal Touch' in 1993, the band hit the road and can count support slots to MOTȪRHEAD and KREATOR amongst their biggest gigs. FURIOUS TRAUMA also appeared at the July 1993 Roskilde Festival, opening for ANTHRAX, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, MIDNIGHT OIL and PORNO FOR PYROS. However, line-up changes occurred in 1994 with frontman Lars Schmidt joining KONKHRA and also losing their drummer; Morten Nielsen of BLACK ROSE, FORCE MAJEURE, CRIME ACADEMY and MERCYFUL FATE replacing the latter. The 'Eclipse' album emerged in 1995 through Euphonious Records.

1996's 'Strange Ways' EP contained cover versions of ARTILLERY's 'The Challenge' and KISS' 'Strange Ways' plus a CD-ROM portion containing video clips for 'Chaos Within' and 'My Dying Time' plus a band interview. Signing to French label Season Of Mist FURIOUS TRAUMA issued 'Roll The Dice' in 1999. Ex-FURIOUS TRAUMA drummer Brian Anderson joined DOMINUS in 2000.

FURIOUS TRAUMA's 2004 band line-up comprised Lars Schmidt, the HATESPHERE and KOLDBORN credited Henrik B. Jacobsen on guitar, GUTRIX and ZOSER MEZ bassist Claus Weiergang and drummer Allan Tschicaja.
