ILLDISPOSED

Biography

Århus based ILLDISPOSED date from early 1991 and the group's first demo was titled 'The Winter Of Our Discontempt', which led to a deal with Nuclear Blast Records. In late 1992 the band contributed the track 'Reversed' to the Progress Red label's 'Fuck You, We're From Denmark' compilation album and toured Europe as support to WARGASM and SINISTER in December 1993. During 1994 Envoldsen left to join ANGEL ACCELERATOR DEATH and guitarist Martin Gilsted stepped in to replace Hans Wagner, who was suffering from alcohol problems.

In early 1995 drummer Lars Hald took over for a few live shows. The 1995 album 'Submit' saw Rolf Rognvard Hansen, previously known as guitarist for CAUSTIC, taking over the drum stool as Hald teamed up with PANZERCHRIST. Live shows in Germany to promote the album, noted for guitarist Lasse Bak performing many gigs stark naked, saw ILLDISPOSED playing alongside HAGGARD and DISGUST.

The 1998 effort 'There's Something Rotten...' found Gilsted supplanted by ex-roadie Tore Mogensen. Bo Summer joined PANZERCHRIST for their third album 'Soul Collector'. The 2000 album 'Retro' was comprised entirely of cover versions. Bands honoured included CARCASS' 'Reek Of Putrefaction', AUTOPSY, DARKTHRONE 'Cromlech', VENOM, AC/DC's 'Beating Around The Bush' and MOTÖRHEAD's 'Killed By Death'. In February 2002 ILLDISPOSED drafted a new drummer, Thomas Sølvkæde Muskelbuks.

The band was back in the news as 2003 closed when guitarist Lasse Bak was arrested at a football match in Århus. The musician was charged for "drunk and offensive behavior", receiving a fine for "throwing a ½-litre tankard containing urine at a superintendent of Aarhus Police". More concrete news had the band entering the recording studio that February to prepare a new album.

The band donated their rendition of 'Slaughter Of The Soul' to the AT THE GATES tribute album, 'Slaughterous Souls - A Tribute to At The Gates' released in September 2004 through Drowned Scream Records. ILLDISPOSED was announced as support to DEATH ANGEL's European 2004 tour but pulled out due to "financial problems with the promoter". Nevertheless, ILLDISPOSED's October 2004 album '1-800 Vindication' would hit no. 85 on the national Danish charts, the highest rating ever for a Death Metal album. Bo Summer took time out to aid ABORTED as guest backing vocalist on their album 'The Archaic Abattoir'.

Ex-ILLDISPOSED guitarist Morten Gilsted bounced back in January 2005 with the SLOW DEATH FACTORY demo 'Music For Tough Guys', a high profile union of Danish extreme Metal elite comprising vocalist Martin Rosendahl of STRANGLER, CORPUS MORTALE and INIQUITY, CORPUS MORTALE's Roar Christofferson on bass guitar and Per Møller Jensen of INVOCATOR, KONKHRA and THE HAUNTED repute on drums.

ILLDISPOSED forged a touring alliance with Norway's ANCIENT and German act FINAL BREATH for European dates throughout March of 2005. Upon completion of these gigs the band parted ways with guitarist Lasse Bak and persevered as a quartet. ILLDISPOSED toured Germany packaged as part of the 'Wacken Open Air Roadshow' with REGICIDE, SUIDAKRA and HOLY MOSES during May 2005. In August the band introduced EXMORTEM guitarist Martin Thim into the ranks.

ILLDISPOSED readied a new album, 'Burn Me Wicked', for April 2006 release through Roadrunner Records. Following European touring with DEADSOIL and 37 STABWOUNDZ, the band flew to New Zealand to headline the 'Metal In The Beast - 666 - Metal Day Out' festival.

Announcing a working title of 'Det' Noget Lort Jim' ILLDISPOSED set to work on fresh album tracks in January 2007. The band scheduled UK headline dates for February with support from AMENTI.

ILLDISPOSED set 'To Those Who Walk Behind Us' as the title of their 2009 album, released on 28th August via Massacre Records. The album was recorded at AB Studio in Aarhus, Denmark and subsequently mixed at Fredman Studio in Sweden with Fredrik Nordström.
