FORLIS, a Black Ambient project, was founded in September of 2003 by Vuml of STREAM and VANTAGE POINT, and Svest, the latter an ex-member of HARVEST RITUAL and also active with VORNOFF and SAGNTID. The 'Hellseeker' EP arrived in 2004. The group, signing to Baphomet Records for a full length album, would be joined by the notorious figure of Killjoy as their new vocalist in August, their new frontman having a tradition with such extreme acts as NECROPHAGIA, EIBON and ENOCH.

Svest and Vuml also activated SICK ROOM 7, recording the 'Crawling Words' demo in September 2005.
