CROCELL, established in 2007, is a Death Metal combo comprising vocalist Magnus Jørgensen, ex-ADVERSARY, guitarists Ken Holst, of COMPOS MENTIS and ex-ADVERSARY, and Tommy Christensen, ex-SLUGS and NURSE, drummer Andreas Posselt, from COMPOS MENTIS and MARE CRISIUM, plus Onkel Kusse, of DEMOLITION INC., on bass guitar.

The group signed a deal with UK imprint Casket Music, a division of Copro Records, for the worldwide release of its 11-track debut album, 'The God We Drowned', on 24th November 2008. The album was recorded by Christian Bonde at his CB Studios and was mixed by Jacob "Formanden" Olsen at Antfarm Studio.

A promotional video for the track 'Behind The Veil' was shot at Filmbyen in Aarhus, and directed by Anton Iversen, guitar player in AVARICE.

CROCELL featured on the billing of the SEPULTURA, SINISTER and KEEP OF KALESSIN headlined 'Devilstone Open Air' festival taking place in July 2009 in Anyksciai, Lithuania.
