SMAXONE was announced as a high profile Danish Metal union in 2003. The group comprised ELOPA's Claus Lillelund, handling "clean" vocals, and guitarist Casper Skafte in union with MNEMIC's Michael Bøgballe, "Distorted" vocals, and drummer Brian 'Brylle' Rasmussen, the latter also citing ties with INVOCATOR and TRANSPARENT.

Signing to Italian label Scarlet Records the band cut a debut album 'Regression'. For live work the SMAXONE line-up expanded to include BEHIND THE CURTAIN rhythm guitarist Lars Jelsbak, MNEMIC bassist Thomas "Obeast" Koefoed and the MERCENARY and BEHIND THE CURTAIN credited keyboard player Morten Sandager.

SMAXONE cut tracks for a second album, entitled 'The Red Album', in October 2006. ZYX MUsic issued this effort in February 2008.
