In late 2002 ROOT's Jiří 'Big Boss' Valter alongside guitarist Ashok, bassist Igor and ONSET keyboard player Tudy formulated the Black Metal EQUIRHODONT side project. On drums would be Marthus (a.k.a. Martin Škaroupka), a scene veteran of INNER FEAR, ENTRAILS, PANDEMIA, MELANCHOLY PESSIMISM, GALACTIC INDUSTRY and HAPPY DEATH.

The band collaborated with F.O.B. and BELTAINE on the 'Follow The Instructions' Czech tour in May 2005. In November 2006 Martin Škaroupka stepped up into the international league when he was announced as new drummer for CRADLE OF FILTH.
