During 2002 the esteemed vocalist FREDDY CURCI, of ALIAS and SHERIFF repute, revealed his new outfit ZION, a union with guitarist Alex Masi of MASI repute, and the CONEY HATCH, KIM MITCHELL and THE WORKS credited Paul Marangoni on drums. The project would still be underway in mid 2005, Curci having collaborated with hit songwriter Jim Vallance on new material and composing with former KILLER DWARFS, BULLETBOYS and VINCE NEIL band guitarist JASON HOOK.

ZION signed to the Italian Frontiers label in September 2006. Album recordings featured Jason Hook, guitarist Joey Scoleri, Ken Malandrino and Fabrizio Grossi on bass, Ross Greene on keyboards plus Paul Marangoni and Joey Greco on drums.
