Quebec Progressive Rock outfit TALISMA was founded by guitarist Donald Fleurent and Stephane Prudhomme during 1991. A first demo session would be simply entitled '1994'. Prudhomme opted out in 1997 and TALISMA's second recording effort was completed with the aid of Jazz musicians vocalist / pianist Florence Belanger, guitarist Marc Filiatrault and drummer Alain Boyer. However, the band folded in 2000.

TALISMA regrouped in 2001, Fleurent enlisting guitar player Martin Vanier and drummer Mark Di Claudio for a 2003 album 'Corpus', issued through the Montreal based Unicorn Digital label. 'Chromium' followed in 2005.
