Biography

Montreal based Death Metal act, mentored by Rob 'The Witch', debuted with the 1991 demo 'Morbid Ritual'. Their next product would not surface until four years later, when the band entered Victor Studios in 1995 to record the Pierre Remillard produced EP 'The Silver Key'. Subsequent live work witnessed showings at both Milwaukee and Montreal Metalfests as well as supports to CRADLE OF FILTH and MERCYFUL FATE. Their full-length debut, 1998's 'Pharaoh Of Gods', would be recorded at Peter Pan Studios and issued by Hypnotic Records. With this label's demise the Unique Leader imprint re-released the record in 2002. An extensive round of Canadian dates in the Autumn of 2002 had NECRONOMICON as part of a strong package billing with KATAKLYSM and BLOOD OF CHRIST. 'The Sacred Medicines' followed in 2003.

NECRONOMICON would be seeking a bass player to replace Dominik for live work in March of 2004 as their regular bass man was forced to withdraw after suffering tendonitis in his right wrist. The group also announced its intent to secure a female lead vocalist. NECRONOMICON announced the addition of bassist Fredrich to the group's ranks in June, the new man first featuring in a promotional video for the track 'Dark Wings Of Deceptions'.
