Biography

Solo efforts from former CONEY HATCH vocalist / guitarist. His erstwhile CONEY HATCH colleagues guitarist Steve Shelski and bassist ANDY CURRAN contribute as does ALDO NOVA drummer Billy Carmassi and bass player Tim Harrington- the latter boasting credits with HONEYMOON SUITE, ROUGH AND READY, ALDO NOVA, LEE AARON and WALL OF SILENCE.

The debut proved popular in his homeland and successive bouts of touring with running mates SASS JORDAN, APRIL WINE and ALANNAH MYLES aided strong album sales. Further Canadian gigs in 1997 had Dixon on the road with GUESS WHO.

As a song writer the man donated his services to BRETT WALKER's 'Lift Off' album of 1999. Dixon also contributed his version of 'Romeo And The Lonely Girl' to the 2000 PHIL LYNOTT tribute album 'The Spirit Of The Black Rose'.

The 2001 outing 'Into The Future' sees Dixon working alongside Harrington once again, KILLER DWARFS guitarist Mike Hall and SANTERS drummer Mark Santer. His CONEY HATCH partners Shelski and Curran also put in another showing as did Brian Greenway of APRIL WINE. Amongst the original Dixon compositions the singer tackles versions of BAD FINGER's 'Lonely You', FREE's 'Little Bit Of Love' and ROBIN TROWER's 'River'. Dixon enrolled into the ranks of veteran Rockers APRIL WINE, featuring on the 2003 double album 'Greatest Hits Live'.
