GLEN DROVER
Biography
In early 2009 guitarist Glen Drover, holding credits with MEGADETH, KING DIAMOND, EIDOLON and TESTAMENT, announced he was recording a debut solo album in a Metal - Jazz Fusion He would be accompanied in the studio by bassist Paul Yee and the SAGA and KIM MITCHELL credited drummer Chris Sutherland.
A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Drover's career had begun alongside his brother Shawn on drums with the foundation of EIDOLON.With this band Drover featured on the albums 'Sacred Shrine' in 1993), 'Zero Hour' in 1996 and 'Seven Spirits' issued in 1997.
In 1998 Glen Drover joined Danish act KING DIAMOND, appearing on the album 'House Of God'. Returning to EIDOLON, further album releases included 'Nightmare World' in 2000, 'Hallowed Apparition' in 2001, 'Coma Nation' in 2002 and 'Apostles Of Defiance' the following year. Both Drover siblings enrolled into the ranks of MEGADETH in 2004, appearing on the album 'United Abominations'. During this tenure Drover figured on another EIDOLON opus, 2006's 'The Parallel Otherworld'.
Glen quit MEGADETH in January 2008. In October that year Drover temporarily substituted for Alex Skolnick in the TESTAMENT ranks for dates in Mexico.
