A late 60's band that would give rise to one of Canada's greatest Rock acts A FOOT IN COLDWATER. NUCLEUS was created by ex-THE LORDS OF LONDON rhythm section of bassist Hughie Leggat and drummer Danny Taylor and former LEATHER and ISLAND men vocalist Alex Machin and guitarist Paul Naumman. The band also added keyboard player Bob Horne.

This line-up in its entirety would evolve into A FOOT IN COLDWATER during 1971. Machin later fronted CHAMPION whilst Leggat went on to THUNDER ROAD and PRIVATE EYE.
