The STAR QUEEN project band, initiated by Bulgarian singer / composer Stella Tormanoff, had both guitarist THORBJÖRN ENGLUND and bass player Erik Tornberg of Swedish act WINTERLONG working alongside LARS ERIC MATTSON, Bob Katsionis keyboard player and drummer Tony Eriksson for a 2002 album through the Finnish Lion Music label. Tormanoff's formative years had been spent honing her craft with Bulgarian acts such as THUNDERBIRD, TRANSYLVANNIA and MISTICAL.

For a 2004 follow up entitled 'Your True Self' STAR QUEEN incorporated a new rhythm section of EMBRACING and XENOPAGE bassist Peter Uvén and drummer Mats Holma. The group, as a trio of Tormanoff, Englund and bassist Peter Uvén, would also cut their version of 'Empty Rooms' for a GARY MOORE tribute album 'Give Us Moore'.

THORBJÖRN ENGLUND issued solo album 'Influences' in May 2006.
