Founded during 1994, TEMPLUM made their first impressions with the 1996 demo 'Pullawefen-ellekawe'. Bassist Thorngreen is ex-BERZABUM and SPELL FOREST whilst guitarist Yaotzin is another BERZABUM veteran, originally figuring alongside frontman Alreg and drummer Mentis.TEMPLUM would enter a five year hiatus during the latter half of the nineties.

Upon their return the band added the erstwhile MYTHOLOGICAL COLD TOWERS triumvirate of vocalist Samej, guitarist Shammash and drummer Akbal during 2001. The latter would be superseded by Hamon, a man with a welter of credits with artists such as SPELL FOREST, MYTHOLOGICAL COLD TOWERS, CRUX CAELIFERA, PENTACROSTIC, GORGHON, VULTURINE, CRUCIAL, ROTHUNDUS and DESMONDUS. The two song demo cassette 'Last Sunset Of A Dark Millenium' was published in 2003.
