MORCROF, founded in December of 1992 by guitarist Caecus Magice and bass player Paullus Moura, offer a distinct brand of nihilistic Black Metal. Second guitarist Roberto Bressan and singer Ludwick Schölzel would be engaged into the ranks during 1993. as such, MORCROF, with Admissum on drums, emerged a 1994 rehearsal tape dubbed 'A Future Not So Far'. At this stage the band lost the services of Caecus Magice but inducted guitarist R'Matheus and drummer B.Gênes Hajj-Ahriman. Matheus soon bowed out, being replaced by LIVING HADES and NECRONOISER's Pétros Nilo.

The rehearsal set was followed with a brace of demos 'Scientia Ab Mortuus', including a cover of ROTTING CHRIST's 'The Forest N'Gai', during 1996, featuring keyboard player Naitsirch C'Bontus, and 'Live In São Paulo' issued in 1997. The band dumped Hajj-Ahriman, unceremoniously ejecting him in favour of NECRONOISER's Slaughter upfront of recording the self financed 1999 album 'Peragere Humum Et Semem Terrai Abditae'. Upon completion of recording Ad Lung took the drum stool, then re-installing Admissum before the duties fell to Feralis.

Guitarist Roberto Bressan joined TENEBRAIO in 2001. Bressan would also ally himself with the Doom styled CRIMSON DAWN PROJECT. That same year MORCROF recorded the 'Alesh' demo, which secured a contract with Mutilation Records for the album 'Apeiron (Trinitas Primitiae Opus'. A further demo, 'Arqués' in 2002, preceded commencement of work on a new studio album 'Machshevet Habriá (Myths And Conjectures Of Creation)'.

Paullus Moura would operate a wealth of outside activities including such projects as GRAMMATON, OBERAMERGAU, TREVAS, ANUBIS and ERIS MAESTUS. Naitsirch C'Bontus is also active with Dark Ambient endeavour WAHRHEITSTAG, issuing the demo 'Verlorene Lieder Avs Der Dunkelheit' through Erynnis Production.

The band donated their rendition of 'The Fourth Knight Of Revelation' to a ROTTING CHRIST tribute album, entitled 'An Evil Existence For Rotting Christ', released through Recordshop Productions in June of 2004.
