CIRRHOSIS

Biography

CIRRHOSIS was originally conceived in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais by SARCOFAGO's Wagner Antichrist in late 1988. The founder would return to his home base of SARCOFAGO leaving the remaining band members to stabilise a line up comprising lead vocalist Luiz Fernando, guitarists Rodrigo and Marlon, bassist Jaurez and Fernando on the drums. In this incarnation CIRRHOSIS signed to the Cogumelo label, releasing a split album with LUCIFER 'Alcohol Rules'. The group put in extensive touring but folded sometime during 1993.

CIRRHOSIS resumed action in 2002 citing a fresh roll call incorporating Jaurez on vocals and bass, guitarists Henrique and Marcos with Fernando appointed on drums. The resulting 'Alcoholic Death Noise' album was produced by Geraldo Minelli of SARCOFAGO and includes a cover version of SARCOFAGO's own 'Midnight Queen'.
