Brasília based Black Metal act with female vocals. MIASTHENIA members guitarist THORMIANAK and drummer Mictlantecutli are also active members of VULTOS VOCIFEROS. THORMIANAK has also issued a solo demo 'O Reino Imaginario De Thormianak'.

MIASTHENIA's commercial debut was as part of a split album shared with fellow Brazilians SONGE D'ENFER. The band had issued the previous demos 'Paro O Encarte De Sabbat' in 1995 and 'Faun' in 1996. An early line up of vocalist / guitarist Vlad D. Hades, bassist Mist, keyboard player Susan Hecate and drummer Anderson would evolve to see Hecate taking the lead vocal role, backed by guitarist Thormianak, bassist Mist and drummer Mictlantecutli.

The band donated their rendition of 'The Forest Of Dead Lovers' to a ROTTING CHRIST tribute album, entitled 'An Evil Existence For Rotting Christ', released through Recordshop Productions in June of 2004.
