Gentbrugge based VAE VICTIS was the 1998 formation established by ex-GOTMOOR singer Alastor. The group issued a demo in the Black-Death vein entitled 'Triformis Mundus'. The 'Dies Natalis Solis Invictvs' session arrived in 2001.

The rhythm section of bassist Renulot and drummer Bluetspur, actually brothers, would also be active members of SATYRUS. Bluetspur also holds credits with EXTERMINATOR. The siblings reforged SATYRUS in September of 2004.
