"Heroic Metal" band SIEGFRIED, based in Innsbruck, include erstwhile DREAMS OF SANITY vocalist Sandra Schleret alongside the DARKWELL, SUBCULTURA, SARCASM SYNDROME and ANGRY ANGELS credited Roland Wurzer on bass. Ortwin is ex-SARCASM SYNDROME whilst tenor vocalist Werner Bialek has credits with Power Metal band SUBACID. Drummer Moritz Neuner is a much in demand figure on the Austrian Metal scene with a multitude of band credits such as KOROVA, DORNENREICH, ANGRY ANGELS, DARKWELL and EVENFALL plus internationally with Italy's GRAVEWORM and Germany's ATROCITY.

The band's opening 8 song demo 'Fafnir' released in the summer of 2000, which saw a vocal contribution from THERION's Martina Horngacher on the track 'Du Und Ich', secured a deal with the Napalm label for the 'Drachenherz' album.

Sandra Schleret was announced as new vocalist for the Liechtenstein based Gothic Metal group ELIS, replacing the late Sabine Dünser, in late December 2006.
