Innsbruck Progressive Metal act DIVINE TEMPTATION is rooted in the Heavy Metal band OUTBURST, this antecedent band comprising vocalist / guitarist Philip Wollinger, guitarist Stefan Graf, bassist Marco 'Snake' Modl, keyboard player Mario Mitterrutzner and DRIFT BETWEEN, THE AGENCY and DREAMS OF SANITY drummer Patrick Schrittwieser. Graf would be a familiar figure on the Austrian extreme Metal scene, holding membership of ZERBERUS, ENID, GOLDEN DAWN, SIEGFRIED and STERNENSTAUB. Modl too would hold ZERBERUS and GOLDEN DAWN credits. In the Winter of 1999 Graf, Modl and Schrittwieser broke away to found DIVINE TEMPTATION.

In 2000 vocalist Anna Maria Hellbert and keyboard player Michael Springer were recruited, but the latter's tenure would be brief. Drawing in the ZERBERUS and DARKWELL credited Raphael Lepuschitz as replacement the group debuted live with a concert in Fieberbrunn during December of 2001. Changes saw Barbara Peer of DREAMS OF SANITY repute taking over the vocal position and, for a short period, Gernot on keyboards. The conceptual album 'Dracula ...For All Life Is The Blood' arrived in 2004.
