Melbourne, Victoria's SITHLORD are nothing if not original in their concept. A deliberately retro outfit combining large doses of 80s German Thrash Metal with modern Black Metal and named after a 'Star Wars' movie evil heirachy. Founded in 1998, originally billed as ENMITY, by former CHRISTBAIT and ABRAMELIN drummer Jason 'Snorkelbender' Dutton and erstwhile RANCOR guitarist Saundies. The band, switching to the SITHLORD title after chancing upon the discovery of an already existing English Enmity, added bassist Gash who lasted for just one gig in 1999. His replacement would be Jay Saunders, also an operative member of ANATOMY and ATOMIZER.

The debut album, 'Labyrinth To The Gods', arrived through the Australian Bleed label in 1999. SITHLORD would then sign to the German Barbarian Wrath label for the follow up 'The Return Of Godless Times' set for 2002 release.
