Biography

LONG VOYAGE BACK was founded by the veteran HOBBS' ANGEL OF DEATH and DESTRȪYER 666 bass player Phil Gresik. In his previous act DESTRȪYER 666 the man had gone under the nom de guerre of Bullet Eater.

LONG VOYAGE BACK debuted with an eponymous outing released through the Destruktive Kommandoh label in 1998. The second album, 1999's 'Long Voyage Back II', saw drums courtesy of Sham Littleman of DEPRESSION and NOTHING SACRED with female vocals from Mel Watson and Sam Lohs. A split 7" single, 'Poison Blood', arrived in November of 2001 shared with fellow Aussies ANATOMY. LONG VOYAGE BACK's third album, 'Close To Animal', was released by Modern Invasion Music in 2002.

For live appearances Gresik employed guitarist Nick Maurer, backing singers Amber Willems and Ngami Gresik with ex-BLOOD DUSTER, ABRAMELIN and FRACTURE man Euan Herriot on the drums.
