Biography

A modern Thrash Metal band, FRANKENBOK was forged in Melbourne during 1997 with a line up comprising singer Adam Glynn, guitarists Aaron Butler and Scott Lang, bassist Tim Miedecke. A set of demos was recorded with the aid of a drum machine before drummer Mick Morley was acquired during 1999. Signing to Faultline Records FRANKENBOK debuted with the 'Greetings And Salutations' album.

The band switched labels to Dark Carnival Records toward the close of 2000 to publish the EP 'The Loopholes & Great Excuses', this achieving a fair degree of radio play courtesy of the MADISON AVENUE cover version 'Don't Call Me Baby'. In 2002 FRANKENBOK's steady rise in status prompted the re-issue of 'Greetings And Salutations', clad in all new artwork and hosting an additional eight extra live tracks. However, progress was stalled temporarily when vocalist Adam Glynn quit to found FIVE STAR PRISON CELL.

Adam B Metal was quickly drafted as the band's new frontman. After a brief burst of live shows the band entered Back Beach Studios to craft the 'Blood Oath' album with producer DW Nortob for Roadrunner Records. FRANKENBOX lent support to 8 FOOT SATIVA's 2004 New Zealand dates. The band then worked their way across Australia in May and June forming up the 'Army Of Darkness' trek in union with 8 FOOT SATIVA, FULL SCALE and SUNK LOTO.

Vocalist Adam B. Metal was hospitalised with a broken leg following a skateboarding accident in early January 2007. The new year saw FRANKENBOK preparing to release a second album 'Murder Of Crows'.
