East Melbourne Gothic Doom Metal concept known in an earlier incarnation as TRANSCENDENCE. Under this title the band, actually more a solo venture of multi-instrumentalist Anthony Kwan, cut the 'Induction To Eternal Rest' demo working in union with bassist James Wallbridge. Although these recordings secured a deal with the British Candlelight concern it also uncovered the existence of another Metal band already laying claim to the name. Taking onboard the ancient Greek descriptive for mournful dirge music ELEGEION was borne with female singers Deiudonnee and Natasha contributing to the opening 'Odyssey Into Darkness' mini album.

2000's 'Through The Eyes Of Regret' was produced by the respected underground figure of Tony Nesci. ELEGION cut the album 'The Last Moment' in June of 2004 at Nesci Recording Studios in Adelaide, for record label Modern Invasion Music. Featuring an appearance from the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra the band unit comprised Anthony Kwan on vocals, bass and guitar, Dieudonnee on vocals and piano with James Wallbridge on drums, bass and acoustic guitar.

2005 recordings for the album 'The Last Moment' would see guitar contributions from Justin Hartwig of CHALICE.
