Biography

DESTRȪYER 666, founded in Melbourne by ex-BESTIAL WARLUST and CORPSE MOLESTATION vocalist / guitarist Keith 'K.K'. Warslut, emerged with the 1995 demo 'Six Songs With The Devil'. The band, whose legend is 'Australian And Antichrist' have trod an uncompromising path of brutal Black Metal personified by their stage presence bedecked in vicious spikes and studs.

DESTRȪYER 666's debut line-up for the first album 'Violence Is The Prince Of This World' included drummer Chris Volcano, former HOBBS' ANGEL OF DEATH and BESTIAL WARLUST bassist Bullet Eater (Phil Gresik) and DAMAGED guitarist Matt Sanders.

The follow up, 1997's 'Unchain the Wolves', saw Warslut retaining Bullet Eater but drafting in new faces Shrapnel from RAZOR OF OCCAM on guitar and Howitzer (Coz of GOSPEL OF THE HORNS) on drums. Volcano went on to forge ABOMINATOR, later joining URGRUND and DENOUNCEMENT PYRE.

Howitzer would relinquish the drum stool to Jarro Deceiver in late 1997 the new recruit debuting on the 'Satanic Speed Metal' 7" single. Another casualty was Bullet Eater who, decamping to found LONG VOYAGE BACK, lost his place to S. Beserker.

The band relocated to Europe to further their career enabling them to appear at numerous festivals including the Swedish '2heavy4U' event, Austria's 'Mind Over Matter', Holland's 'Stonehenge' and 'Dynamo' festivals and German events 'Fuck The Commerce', 'Wacken Open Air' and 'Under The Black Sun'. Former SINISTER singer 'Evil' Eric De Windt took on the task of becoming DESTRȪYER 666's drummer.

The band, now signed to the French Season Of Mist label, would figure as part of the gargantuan 'No Mercy' touring festival package in March and April of 2002 promoting the new 'Cold Steel...For An Iron Age' album. Also on the billing would be VADER, CATASTROPHIC, IMMORTAL, HYPOCRISY, DISBELIEF, MALEVOLENT CREATION and OBSCENITY. The album would be issued in June in vinyl format with completely revised artwork by the Dutch Displeased label. A further 2002 release would be the three track 'Of Wolves, Women & War' 7" EP issued through the Satans Metal label. Clad in a pornographic cover and restricted to the obligitary 666 copies, 100 of these would be pressed in clear vinyl.

European dates slated for November saw the band making up a bill including headliners DEICIDE alongside BEHEMOTH, CENTINEX, DIABOLIC and ANTAEUS. However, DESTROYER 666 along with half of the other bands originally name, would be subsequently dropped from these shows. Drummer Eric De Windt would also be found moonlighting with PROSTITUTE DISFIGUREMENT.

DESTRȪYER 666 embarked on "Genocide And Wrath" European headliners throughout March and April 2006 backed by Canadians REVENGE. In late September and into October the band engaged in "The Wolves Over America" tour.

The 'Defiance' album was delivered in June 2009 through Season Of Mist.
