Hobart, Tasmania Black Metal act RUINS feature in their ranks multi-instrumentalist Alex Pope on vocals, guitars and bass, alongside drummer David Haley from PSYCROPTIC, DISSEMINATE, JESTER DESTINY, MINDLESS VIOLENCE and THE AMENTA. The band contracted to Neurotic Records for release of an August 2005 debut album 'Spun Forth As Dark Nets'.

PSYCROPTIC, THE AMENTA and RUINS teamed up for the "Unleashing The Extreme" Australian tour throughout May and June 2009.
