Adelaide Black Metal act with DESTR?YER 666 connections through lead guitarist Shrapnel, who had featured on the Melbourne act's 1997 opus 'Unchain the Wolves'. A formative version of RAZOR OF OCCAM featured the VOMITOR, GOSPEL OF THE HORNS and CORPSE MOLESTATION credited Brad 'Obliterator' on drums. Debut product would be the 1998 demo 'Diabalogue'. The following year Damnation Records issued two of these tracks as a 7" single.

For the 2002 opus 'Pillars Of Creation' RAZOR OF OCCAM enrolled drummer Peter 'Limbspasm' Hunt, previously of GEARED FOUR and KUTABARE.

Circle Of The Tyrants released a blue vinyl EP, 'Pillars Of Creation', in 2003 limited to 500 copies. Promotion for this release included European dates allied with GOSPEL OF THE HORNS.

RAZOR OF OCCAM guitarist Chris 'Corpsemolester' Hastings has ties to BETRAYER, BESTIAL WARLUST, CORPSE MOLESTATION and ADORIOR. Hastings subsequently joined London based New Zealanders DEMONIAC. Peter Hunt journeyed to London, featuring as a member of DRAGONHEART, MARSHALL LAW and SAVAGE MESSIAH.

The band signed with US imprint Metal Blade Records in November 2008 for their third album 'Homage To Martyrs'.
