A Black Metal act created in early 1994. The Sydney based act debuted, with the aid of a drum machine, in 1995 with the 'Path To My Funeral Light' demo. As the band membership ebbed and flowed LORD KAOS took to using drum machines and programmed keyboards onstage. The first album 'Thorns Of Impurity' was recorded in 1995 as a trio for Warhead Records although did not see a release until late 1996 due to Norway's Head Not Found label bidding for the band. Although the album finally saw a release guitarist Astennu quit to relocate to Norway to create CARPE TENBRUM with Nagash of DIMMU BORGIR. Astennu eventually joined DIMMU BORGIR for their 'Spiritual Black Dimensions' album.

Undeterred LORD KAOS pulled in ex-NEUROPATH guitarist Korps and various members of Newcastle's EMPERY OF THORNS. Live gigs followed including supports to CRADLE OF FILTH. LORD KAOS member Beau Dyer is also active with ELYSIUM, GRENADE and Doom project ACROSS THE SCARLET MOAT.

Ex-LORD KAOS man Astennu would act as producer for Australian Metalcore band STRONGER THAN HATE's debut 2004 album 'Between Day And Darkness', joining the band shortly after.
