Biography

Premier Sydney Death Metal band. The debut line up of DEADSPAWN include the former DEPRESSION guitarist Aaron Bilbija alongside six string colleague Darren Jenkins of MORTALITY repute. The latter was soon enticed away into the ranks of CRYOGENIC and Dave Micallef took over the role. By mid 1996 DEADSPAWN, now with NEOPHOBIA man Graham Goode on the drums, performed their inaugural live gig. However, with Goode's priorities to NEOPHOBIA calling on him the drums were handed over to another ex-DEPRESSION member Wayne Morris.

The band cut the 'Emissions Of Power' album for the Warhead label in 1999. Live activity was infrequent save for a showing at the 2001 'Metal For The Brain' festival incorporating SYPHILIS man Peter Peric on bass. Matters would became confusing when Bilbija joined up with SYPHILIS. DEADSPAWN folded as both Micallef and Morris bowed out. Bilbija and Peric swiftly founded INFERNAL METHOD. Bilbija later figured in PSI.KORE's final line-up and by 2002 was operating with the high profile DAYSEND. Wayne Morris subsequently joined him in this outfit.
