Biography
Acid Rock band formed in Sydney, Australia during 1970. The solitary McPHEE album is extremely rare as only 500 copies were pressed. The album saw cover versions of SPOOKY TOOTH's 'The Wrong Time' and THE BEATLES 'I Am The Walrus'. McPHEE comprised of Australians vocalist Faye Lewis and guitarist Tony Joyce, New Zealanders bassist Benny Kaika and keyboard player Jim Deverell and Englishman Terry Popple on drums.
Popple had appeared on two late 60's albums by Blues Rockers TRAMLINE previously. After McPHEE folded he would relocate to Britain to rejoin his TRAMLINE colleague guitarist MICKY MOODY to create SNAFU. Popple was drummer for VAN MORRISON in the 80's.
