Biography

THE PLOT, a rough and ready Rock n' Roll trio, was a touring collaboration between UFO compatriots bassist PETE WAY, also taking on the lead vocal role, and guitar maestro MICHAEL SCHENKER. The UFO and RACER X credited Jeff Martin took control of the drums. Way also holds a high profile tradition outside of his UFO priorities with WAYSTED and the OZZY OSBOURNE band whilst Schenker also held SCORPIONS and CONTRABAND associations. Recorded in Schenker's own studios during 2001 THE PLOT would appear live on the guitarist's solo 'Be Aware Of Scorpions' US dates, performing just four numbers in the middle of Schenker's set.

Unfortunately THE PLOT appeared to be a one off. Both Way and Schenker got back to work with UFO before the errant German guitarist bailed out to go solo once again.

Way struck up yet another new band project in mid 2005 dubbed DAMAGE CONTROL, this being an alliance with former MAGNUM, NOTORIOUS and LIFE guitarist ROBIN GEORGE and drummer Chris Slade, the distinctive bald headed veteran also holding a prior tradition with AC/DC, URIAH HEEP, ASIA, MANFRED MANN, 100 PROOF and THE FIRM.

Majestic Rock Records re-issued the album as a double set in December 2006, adding a second disc with a Pete Way interview and live recordings.
