Cleveland Christian Heavy Metal act of some repute dating back to 1997. Although far from shy in delivering technically inclined, thundering Progressive Heavy Metal ANTITHESIS steer clear of any war mongering, hatred, the occult or negativity in their lyrics. The band was convened by guitarists Sean Perry and Paul Konjicija, the remaining members being recruited through musician want ads in a local free newspaper. By October of the same year, St. Louis native bass player Jim Lewis had joined. Vocalist Ty Cook was the next onboard, ANTITHESIS being rounded off with the addition of drummer Paul Kostyack in February of 1998.

Later that year the band entered the recording studio to self finance their debut eponymous album. The record would be issued through the Danish Intromental Management concern during February of 1999 with a print run of 1000 copies which soon sold out. However, in April Konjicija decamped, ANTITHESIS drafting Tom Guignette as substitute. With their new guitarist in place the band quite remarkebly re-recorded the entire album, gave the record an entirely new packaging and re-marketed it in November of the same year...
