KERRY LIVGREN (USA)

In 1980 Kerry Livgren, the guitarist and founder member of KANSAS released his first solo output through Kirshner Records. Prophetically titled 'Seeds Of Change', the album was recorded with various members of KANSAS (including frontman Steve Walsh), then BLACK SABBATH vocalist Ronnie James Dio, JETHRO TULL drummer Barriemore Barlow, LE ROUX's Jeff Pollard, AMBROSIA's David Pack, Paul Goddard from the ATLANTA RHYTHM SECTION and Christian artist Mylon Le Fevre. The success of 'Seeds Of Change' certainly led to Livgren deciding to depart KANSAS in 1982, the guitarist subsequently forming A.D. and releasing a string of albums with a forthright Christian theme.

For the 1984 outing 'Time Line' Livgren assembled a band comprising vocalists Michael Gleason and Warren Ham, bassist Dave Hope and drummer Dennis Holt.

'One Of Several Possible Musiks', issued during 1989, truly was a solo affair with Livgren being the only musician credited. 1992's 'Decade' includes material from Livgren's A.D. 'Seeds Of Change' album was re-issued by Renaissance Records in the late 90's with the addition of a bonus interview with the man himself (Renaissance RMED00112)...
